History

Casa de 'Fiori in Biscione starts out in 2006.  The 18th century small ancient building, placed next to a 16th century building, was recognized as former Orsini stables. It has been refurbished and engaged as tourist accommodation. A few minutes walk, due to the extraordinary central position, allows to visit the main city attractions, such as Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Ghetto, Trastevere, largo Argentina. Right next to Campo de 'Fiori,  and precisely in Piazza del Biscione, Casa de 'Fiori offers to its guests a true roman experience. In fact, the piazza is part of an area that was once occupied by the Theater of Pompey.
On the front of the former Orsini stables is the 18th century fresco of the “Madonna del latte”, visited by many photographers and lovers of the art in hidden corners of Rome.  The building on the opposite side of the piazza is Palazzo Pio Orsini. This is a magnificent palace with large windows and fascinating marble sculptures of lions and eagles, symbols of the ancient families who use to own it. So from the windows of the Casa de 'Fiori a great historic view can be reached. And not only! On the piazza there's one of the most ancient butcher shops of Rome, a family business that has been handed down through the generations. Therefore, Piazza del Biscione is a fascinating open sky theater where ancient and contemporary history intertwine every day, bringing back the same energy of the ancient theater that once was there.
